Call for Papers

The Asian Finance Association (Asian FA) invites submission of high-quality research papers for its 38th Annual Conference to be held in Seoul from July 2nd to July 4th, 2026. The conference is organized by the Asian Finance Association and co-hosted by the Korean Finance Association and the Seoul National University Business School. The conference offers an open platform for scholars worldwide to present recent research and exchange ideas on new developments in finance. Most sessions will feature papers selected through open competition and reviewed by a committee of established researchers. Each accepted paper will be assigned a discussant. Papers in all areas of finance are welcome, but we especially welcome studies related to the Asian capital markets—including market development, regulatory reforms, corporate governance, investor protection, market microstructure, fintech innovation, and sustainable/ESG finance.

The conference will include both academic and practitioner special sessions under the theme of “Korean Capital Market: A New Hope,” Korean capital market has long been recognized as a persistent low PBR market, but is now going through some dramatic changes with respect to its regulatory environment on improving legal protection of investors’ rights.
